I’ve never reviewed a product before but this salve is a must-have product for restoring leather furniture. I originally bought it to restore a vintage Ralph Lauren Chesterfield sofa I have but wanted to test it first. The sofa is a light tan, and the aniline leather is naturally soft and breathable. This product does darken light leather, which means it evened out the overall look of my sofa, and gave it a nice, lustrous sheen, but not too shiny. I like the darkening effect. It also helped to mitigate some areas where food or drinks had dripped and caused discoloring. As I said, this is natural for aniline leather; it's more like a soft baseball glove than an impervious leather car seat, and this product really worked great on it.
